Book 2 of the Unexpected series. Check out Book 1: Unexpected Rescue.

Special Agent Hugh Cranford, better known as Sport, is conducting an off-the-record investigation. Hes after Danny OSullivan, a spy rumored to have assisted in the ambush of Sports former SEAL team. Danny claims he and Sport are on the same side, and the real traitor is the man Sport is working for. But Danny is a master manipulator. Hes also the most seductive man Sport has ever met. Sport cant help being attracted to him, but that doesnt mean hes willing to trust him.

In his quest to bring down a few highly-placed traitors in the US government, Danny OSullivan has been keeping tabs on Sport. When Sport comes looking for him, Danny decides to bring Sport in on his secret mission and into his bed. Sport may not trust Danny, but he wants him. As the two men risk their lives to complete Dannys mission, they discover neither is as strong as they like to pretend.

About the Author

Silvia Violet writes erotic romance in a variety of genres including paranormal, contemporary, sci fi, and historical. She can be found haunting coffee shops looking for the darkest, strongest cup of coffee she can find. Once equipped with the needed fuel, she can happily sit for hours pounding away at her laptop. Silvia typically leaves home disguised as a suburban stay-at-home-mom, and other coffee shop patrons tend to ask her hilarious questions like "Do you write children's books?" She loves watching the looks on their faces when they learn what she's actually up to. When not writing, Silvia enjoys baking sinfully delicious treats, exploring new styles of cooking, and reading to her incorrigible offspring.

I read this right after, the first thing I noticed was its a lot longer than the first. Which for development of character and story was perfect. The fact that we jumped into a story that boarders the first one but doesn’t mirror was also a bonus. And even though, once again we don’t get a lot of back story on anything or anyone because this time we have enough minute by minute action we aren’t really missing it. Or maybe I’ve just resigned myself to not getting it with these books. The one thing that didn’t work for me was getting these two into the charaters that they were portraying. In the beginning of the book, we had a scene with Sport in a bar that had him ending up in an alley with Danny and two other people. Now liquor and sex was involved, but how does a highly trained ex-SEAL and current FBI guy not remember the person he’s standing next to? That and other scene gave me a hard time picturing him as a top notch FBI agent. Same thing w/Danny. Just things mentioned and actions done that had me scratching my head. But these two together along with Jackson fighting the bad guys and saving the day was a nice tale. I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review by Crystals Many reviews

This was very good, but I liked Unexpected Rescue better.
