Born into a two-parent household consisting of a Caucasian, Indian, and Creole mother and a successful black father, Sandy is a young girl whose childhood is almost stripped from her at an early age. On top of having to deal with her mother's bipolar disorder, she's faced with her parents' divorce, being bullied both at school and at hoe, and constant molestation.
