Cherise McKenzie, an Atlanta crime scene investigator, and her husband, Detective Mason McKenzie, have experienced some turbulent ups and downs in their marriage over the years. With demanding careers and two children, the McKenzies find themselves spending more time apart than together, which allows infidelity with a trusted loved one to darken their doorstep.
It is only through a series of near tragic events and a lot of prayer that the young couple is able to rebuild their lives and rekindle the love they once shared. Everything is going great for the McKenzies, and their careers now complement their lives instead of complicating them. Mason and Cherise are determined to keep family first in their lives; however, their devotion will be tested once again when tragedy strikes, leaving Cherise to make a decision that could not only cost her marriage, but the one person she loves more than life itself.

Ms. Darrien Lee is my favorite author in the whole wide world. This book is the sequel to Brotherly Love, and I was majorly anxious to get my hands on this book. I started reading it and was loving it from the get-go, however, I believe that the book was somewhat rushed @ the end and I was a little frustrated on how Ms. Lee concluded the book. Since it was so rushed, I hope that this turns into a triology. I absolutely love Ms. Darrien Lee's books, but this novel somehow seemed cut short. Please do a follow-up Ms. Lee!!! :) Overall, very much worth the read. Good characters (as always), nice plot, a good ending but seemed rushed...
I loved reading this book. It was as if I was watching a movie. The characters in this book all played a major role in the development of the story. Cherise, Mason and Vincent had very convincing personalities. The plot was based on Cherise and Mason trying to reconstruct their marriage without falling in the traps of infidelity. The end of the story is tragic and had me in tears. I hope there is a sequel to this story. However, there is a book prior to the release of Unspokin Lies which gives readers some before background knowledge on Cherise, Mason and Vincent.
I could not put this book down!
