Overview

I knew of Mavrick, the Soul Collector; everyone did; he was a Legend in the world of hard men and violence, collectors and Enforcers. This was the world I was a part of! I had risen fast as a collector and enforcer!
The first time I met Mavrick was on a collection that a mutual friend organized. It was in Santa Monica at a nice restaurant on Main Street. I rolled up with my Mate and waited, then, like in a movie, a Silver 420 Mercedes with a red stripe and the ace of spades on the front end. It was a custom lowrider with some of the craziest rims I have seen, and to top it off, it had bulletproof windows. It was the ultimate bad man's car. I would one day own that car!
I felt like a little kid about to meet his Hero. a hero who happens to be a famous collector, enforcer and world-renowned MMA champion. If I had a tail, it would be wagging. Mavrick parks and it was like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood got out of the car. Mavrick was wearing black boots, blue jeans, a white V-neck T-Shirt, dog tags, a big silver watch on his left wrist, and a tan American Indian-style jacket.
He had a huge welcoming smile and a deep, strong voice. He called me Grundy and said it was nice to meet me, as he had heard about me, making me feel 10 ft tall. The Soul Collector knew who I was. A very special friendship started that day and many adventures awaited us and many more are to come.
Most people talk of loyalty and being there for you no matter the circumstances! Mavrick has walked into the fire many times by my side; He has put his life on the line for me more than once! These are my times and lessons learned from walking with the Soul Collector!

About the Author

Guy Grundy is a former 2x Mr. Australia and a 2x runner up at the World Championships in Bodybuilding. His dream was to come to America and train alongside the best bodybuilders in the world at the MECCA of bodybuilding Gold’s Gym, Venice. He would accomplish that dream in 1998 and then become a US Citizen! Becoming a US Citizen is the greatest moment of Grundy’s life and his proudest achievement. He has found much success as an award winning actor, director, script writer and producer. Grundy has filmed over 15 national commercials and over 30 movies and tv series! He would also become an enforcer and collector in Los Angeles, California.
Grundy was toughened as a youth, as he grew up hard, living with any family member that would take him. He attended 15 different schools due to being moved around so much. At 9 years of age, he was diagnosed as suffering from malnutrition and the skin condition psoriasis, which was painful and embarrassing. At 13, he was still unable to read or write and was banned from participating in all sports by his school. He was sent to the Prince of Wales Special Hospital to learn to read and write. For 6 months, Grundy did nothing but learn to read and write. This would be a life changing event for him as he would go on to become a published writer with over 100 articles being published worldwide. Grundy also had his own recurring column in MuscleMag International, a leading magazine in the world of bodybuilding.
At 16, Grundy was kicked out of his temporary home and ended up living in a building that was set for demolition. To escape his predicament, he worked every job imaginable. All these jobs were physical and hard work. At 17 years of age, his years of hard work, and training as a bodybuilder, had paid off. He was a bulky 216lbs at a height of 6ft tall. Grundy started door work at Sydney’s most popular bars and clubs and would find stability in his life for the first time. It was at this time that Grundy, who was aspiring to become a professional rugby player, decided to retire from the sport and gave everything he had to competitive bodybuilding. This started Grundy on the path to the journeys and adventures he had as he grew from a boy to a man. These are his stories and tales as he walked beside the Soul Collector.
