Watercolored Pearls by Stacy Hawkins Adams

Three women spend a summer discovering that their less-than-perfect circumstances, their friendships with one another, and their faith are steppingstones to the lives they long to live.
Serena never thought she'd have children; now she has two active toddlers. But instead of being overjoyed, she's overwhelmed. Did she make the wrong choice in giving up her successful career to be a stay-at-home-mom?
Tawana, an ambitious new lawyer, is trying to pull her life to together, but her past keeps getting in the way. An incredible opportunity at a prestigious law firm forces her to confront her demons. Can her new responsibilities fit with her growing faith?
Erika's estranged and once-abusive husband wants her back. He says he's changed, and he's even going to church. But is he telling the truth? Or is he just smooth-talking her back into a bad situation?

I read both "Speak to my heart" and "Watercolored Pearls", in that order. They were such page turners, that I had to move immediately to the second book. I didn't want to miss a beat..and could not put them down until I finished. This series allows us to realize that even people of faith, have to deal with everyday issues and concerns. But the difference is that we we can testify to the fact that "all things work together for good [not that all things ARE good} to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28. This Christian series should be just as popular as "Harry Potter".

You need not categorize this book. It's good whether you are a holy roller or just a plain ol roller. The author really did her homework. There is no way that this book should miss the best sellers list. Stacy Hawkins Adams is a master at intertwining life and faith. The characters in Watercolored Pearls are just like everybody else, drama, drama and some more drama. But what I like about inspirational fiction is exemplified time and time again in this book. Serena, Micah and Erica and are back with their supporting cast along with Erica playing a prominent role this time around. This book's message gets stronger and more pronounced by the page. If you don't have a clue what a Watercolored Pearl is, by the time you finish this book, you will have a new found appreciation of what it takes to be a precious pearl. Don't miss the love, the anger, the murder mystery, but most of all don't miss God working it out!!!! Do yourself justice and purchase Speak to My Heart and Nothing But the Right Thing and read them first. Then you will see why this book has to be number 1. BRAVO Stacy!!!!

Stacy Hawkins Adams' new novel 'Watercolored Pearls' was simply amazing. Stacy grabed your attention from the very begining of the book with her God-fearing characthers. She took you on a journey of three women trying to find themselves and in turn strengthen their faith in God. Each of the women have their on set of problems, but they all come together through love. Thanks Stacy!!!!!
