About the Author

USA Today Bestselling Author Lacey Silks writes erotic and contemporary romances with a touch of suspense. Her stories come from her life, dreams and fantasies. She's a happily married wife with two kids who uses her husband to test out the more intimate scenes for her writing - he said he doesn't mind it at all.

Lacey likes to make her readers blush and experience the story as if they were the characters. Drawing on the reader's most sensitive emotions through realistic stories satisfies her more than... ...ok not really, but you get the point ;)

She likes a pinkish shade on a woman's cheeks, men with large feet and sexy lingerie-especially when it's torn off the body. Her favorite piece of clothing is a birthday suit.

My Thoughts: Great story by Lacey Silks to lead into the next! The chemistry between Julia and Scar is evident, something that's been there for each of them since they last saw each other. The two of them end up alone together where all their bottled up lust combusts into hot sex. Very sexy, very sweet--When Things Go Wrong is the perfect beginning to draw me into Julia and Scar's lives. I need to know what happens when they meet again in the future. Can't wait to pick up Cheaters Anonymous! My Rating: Very Good

This is great little introduction into how Julia and Scar become more than friends. Julia is stuck on a ski vacation with her mother and her mother's latest boyfriend. She can't wait for the trip to be over until she runs into her old friend Scar. Then suddenly the trip isn't so bad. They spend the night hanging out and Julia begins to look at Scar in a whole new way. Julia doesn't do relationships. She has been scared by her parent’s relationship. Guys always cheat, they can't help it. It’s better to be prepared for it and not to get your hopes up. Scar doesn't do relationships either. After all he is a product of an affair. They find themselves attracted to each other but thinking that they will only hurt each other. I can't wait to read Cheaters Anonymous and see what happens when Julia and Scar meet upon again years later. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Like most Lacey Silks stuff I really enjoyed this, it’s short and gives us a little background on Jules(who we briefly saw in Cash’s story) and Nick(Scar). It’s a rather quick read, but it has information I am sure we will be grateful for when Cheater’s Anonymous comes out soon. I am really looking forward to Scar’s story, with his history we know and then unknown he is making for a sexy mysterious male lead. Jules, although a total cynic of relationships seems to have a drive we will be thankful for when her and Scar meet again. Can’t wait to read their story!! This was a complimentary e-copy gifted to me by the author, Lacey Silks, in exchange for a honest review.

Fabulous introduction to a new series/cast of characters. Second chance romance for two best friends that lost touch 4 years ago. They cross paths at a fancy ski resort and find the same comfort that they always had. Both are dealing with family pressure and working to define who they truly are when an innocent trip down the mountain almost turns deadly, will Jules and Nick allow themselves to embrace the attraction and give in to what they truly desire? A wonderful start to a new series that leaves you wanting more without keeping you dangling over the cliff.
