This book is enjoyable. Sometimes it's just nice to read about simple pleasures and the little things that give us culture. I also listened to this book on audible, my 12 year old loved it and so did I.

i enjoyed her book so much. And her recipes she shares are simple the way cooking should and used to be. Reese- Thank you for letting us into your growing up past and i could really relate to most of what you describe in your book. Chili pie and chicken pot pie are just so delish! your fan Ginger G

Whiskey in a Teacup is an instruction manual on how to entertain and cook like a southern woman. Filled with childhood memories and advice for most social occasions, Reese Witherspoon provides readers with a lighter, warmer version of most hostess books (think Martha and Ina, for example). The recipes look delicious, and I know I’ll attempt the shrimp and grits and buttermilk biscuit recipes as they are two of my favorite dishes. I adored the paragraph on telephone etiquette because it is exactly how I asked my children to answer the phone. The book is peppered with fantastic southern says from her mother, Betty, and grandmother, Dorothea. Whiskey in a Teacup is likely to be adored by the author’s fans and those who follow her book club reading suggestions. I enjoyed it, but I am happy that I borrowed it from the library. Bless your heart, y’all!

It's actually a nice book enjoyable to read. I'm just very disappointed that in this particular case... the "autograph" in the book is most likely not real and probably done by an autopen machine. These things can be programmed to mimic different variations of a person's signature so it seems legit. Too many examples of these signatures are 100% identical.... which usually is a sign that an autopen signed it.. . not the person. Reese and the publisher should not be trying to fool everyone into thinking they are buying a genuine autographed book.

I love Reese Witherspoon and just had to check this book out. In this book Reese talks about growing up in the south, family, and traditions. It also has recipes that sound and look delicious. There's great pictures in the book also.

First, I am a huge Reese Witherspoon fan and think she is totally adorable. But the book is meh? Pretty uninspiring. I pre-ordered two copies of the book - one as a gift - and was not impressed. I may have to rethink the gift. Also, while I was very much looking forward to receiving the autographed version from an Academy Award winning actress, she simply signed it 'x Reese'. Like a third grader. Maybe it was supposed to be cute. Maybe she's trying to go by her first name only now - like 'Bono' or 'Cher'. Maybe if people are buying your book you should sign your full name. Seriously.

book is interesting, but unfortunately, Reese did NOT actually sign the signed editions. They were signed by an autopen machine. Kind of a scam! purchased a couple copies, and the signatures in each are identical!!
