I loved this book. I cannot get enough of it. I think its amazing. I can't find the exact words to describe it. I loved the entire series. I felt as if I was Diane during the book and I could relate to her.

I loved this book so much, my friend tackled me in the library so that she could shove it in my face just to say, I haven't read it yet, but you need too. I finished it in three hours, I got so into it! Though I read Tricksters before any of the others, I still am able to be 'surprised' at things. If you haven't read Tamora Pierce, go shoot yourself in the foot, these books are amazing!

I love this book! I've read it over an over again, and still can't get enough of her books! Before you read this, I stronly recommend you read the Alanna series first to fully understand the book.

This is one of my favorite books by one of my favorite authors. Tamora Pierce writes strong, intelligent female protagonists, without delving into either "Xena-like warrior princess" or "pretty noble lady" extremes for any of her characters. Her stories are imaginative, well thought out, and VERY well-written. I'm glad, though, that I've read this book several times in hard copy before reading it on the Nook; there are numerous formatting problems throughout not only this book, but Pierce's first series, The Song of the Lioness. If this had been my first time reading Pierce's works, I might have been very put off the the lack of formatting, thinking it was a bad author (when, in fact, it appears to be an ebook formatting error).

I have loved this series, and the Lioness Rampant quartet, since I was a kid. I was so excited to find it for my nook! I am mildly disappointed with the transcription errors however. Misspellings EVERYWHERE, poor punctuation, etc. In addition to that, only the first and the fourth book in the series are available!!!! This is incredibly frustrating. Good reviews for Pierce, B&N, you need a little work on you nook files.

This book 'Wild Magic' was a true masterpiece. It has courage, trust, friendship, and secrets that lead to Diane's past. it was such a brilliant setting in the times where creatures and magic were alive. This book should be permitted to anyone who craves adventure, secrets, and magic.

I have been reading this book since I was 12. I am now 20 and I still can't get enough. It has everything I could want in a book. Favorite book of all time, no ifs ands or buts about it.

This is the first book I have read by Tamora Pierce and I highly enjoyed it. I am a huge fan of fantasy worlds involving magic and was recommended to read this book, and was not disappointed. The flow from the first pages to the last is unceasing. Once I picked it up I could not put it down, and I WILL be reading more from this author.

I guess I am a late-comer to Pierce's writing and I started with one of her newer books- Terrier. Then I read the Alannah series before reading the Wild Magic series. I am now a huge fan of this author! She writes powerful female characters and I like the treatment of magic in all of her books. I enjoyed Wild Magic because of the animals, but this series doesn't have the power of the Alannah series. That said, Daine's pony is one of the most charming and memorable characters in any of the books I have read so far.

I liked the idea of the book. I didn't know it was for a younger crowd so that threw me off a little bit. Other than the fact that it was written from a 13 year olds perspective I thought it was fun. It had a nice adventure and some new ideas that I hadn't really read in any other stories. I wouldn't want to give to much away so I will just leave it at that. It was not a waste of time because I did enjoy it once I came to terms with the fact that I was reading a kids book.

This book was absolutely amazing. For someone who loves both animals and magic, (like myself) will realize the true potential in this amazing book.

Veralidaine Sarrasri--Daine to everyone who knows her--is thirteen years old, orphaned, and without a home. Her amazing rapport with animals gets her a job with a horsemaster named Onua, and the two women become fast companions during their arduous journey from Daine's homeland of Galla to the kingdom of Tortall, where they are to deliver their equine charges to the service of the Queen's Riders. Along the way, Daine's gift for communicating with animals becomes more and more apparent, and when she alerts Onua to the approach of dangerous Immortals known as Stormwings, who feed off of fear and death, her talent can no longer be ignored. It is revealed that, while she does not have the magical Gift required to become a sorcerer, she does have a rarer form known as wild magic that connects her to the animals around her. Under the auspices of one of the most powerful mages in the country, Daine begins to strengthen her natural affinity, but she's haunted by a past she won't share with anyone, and a secret fear that if she uses too much of her power to communicate with animals, even for the good of those around her, she might find herself losing her own humanity. In the eyes of the Tortallan nobles, her training is of great importance in the ongoing effort to protect the kingdom against the vicious Immortals who have begun appearing out of nowhere in the last few years. Pierce has once again delivered a plucky heroine that girls young and old can ally with. Daine's no-nonsense attitude, coupled with her naïve fascination for the way in which business is conducted in Tortall, make her a completely likable character. For an experienced author, returning to an old fictional world and attempting to see it through new eyes can be difficult, but it also has manifold pleasures for both the writer and the reader. In this first book of THE IMMORTALS QUARTET, Tamora Pierce returns to the world her LIONESS QUARTET first popularized, and fans of Alanna, Tortall's first female knight, will be pleased to see their favorite lady heroine appear in print once more, but this time as a secondary character to another young girl with the potential to become a strong woman in her own right.

I really enjoyed this book. It was the first of Tamora Pierce's book's I've read but I've been looking at all of them lately and I immediately noticed that all of her books are intertwined. Daine is a loveable girl and you want her succeed. I hope to see more of her through the rest of the series.

This was the first Tamora Pierce book I ever read, and it was great. I love the adventure, (and the romance), and any fantasy lovers will love this book too.

This book(the whole series really) is one of my absolute favorites! I've read it like two times since the first time I got it(them), and I'll probably end up reading it again! Tamora Pierce knows how to create some awesome and unique characters and places. One really great thing about most of her books is the fact that it's appropriate for almost any age group!
