What happens when you make a wish at Lighthouse Point...

For the first time in her life, struggling baker owner Julie Farmington has something that is all hers.

She's not interested in any entanglements or anything that takes her mind off her goal--including the handsome stranger who is only in town for a month.

Forced to take time off work, Reed Newman makes a spur-of-the-moment decision and books a trip to Belle Island, Florida. A surprising choice that goes against everything in the rigid, well-planned life he fills with constant activity to keep from dealing with his pain and guilt.

As he struggles to make peace with his past and learn to relax, he finds himself falling for the charming owner of The Sweet Shoppe. But Julie tells herself she isn't interested in a man who is just going to leave when he goes back home in a month. She's not interested in adding yet another name to the list of people who have walked out of her life.

But emotions heat up. Reed's past and Julie's present collide and history threatens to repeat itself.

And neither one saw it coming...

Enjoyed this story. So nice to know there are authors out there that do not have the main characters going to bed after meeting each other for the first time. And so nice that this book had no pornographic descriptions of love making.

Quick read. Very likable characters set in a gentle love story with no graphic sex... refreshing, to say the least. Will buy more from this author

Kay Correll wrote a story of a mature romance. After living years people acquire baggage. Remnents of old broken promises, guilts, and regrets add their ingredients of life. Reed is a widower who was clutched deep in a cyclone of grief, guilt, and sorrow. Julie is a survivor of the foster system she lived through as a child. Ms. Correll wrote about the obstacles that our own walls set up when faced with the threat of change. A new face that draws our attention for a moment attracts, until the fear of rejection, unworthiness, and, low self-esteeb The editing was atrocious. Seconds were wasted in trying to interpret what Ms. Correll. Why use "road" instead "rode": I am not certain. The story was short. The romance was sweet. It is a good book for an afternoon.

Enjoyed all the characters in this book. True love overcoming guilt and trust. A very few editing blurbs but otherwise well written. CB

This is a good chick lit book. I like the characters and the fact that the three women have each other's backs. The story line is a little predictable, but it is good nonetheless.

This is a rather dramatic read spread thinly with communication, and direction. Sometimes the whirlwind of drama takes away from reading. This book went in the burn out corner five times.

Although there needs to be some editing, this was a great story. Lml
