Words for the Unspeakable: Shared Emotions - Overcoming Childhood Trauma
From victim to deep spiritual healing... This book started with the collection of poems that were written as a form of journaling emotions, going through therapy and dealing with the consequences of childhood abuse. It shows the changes in the realization of the trauma and how the writer relates to it. The emotions that are expressed in the poems are combined with the sharing of some of the events that took place, leading to the trauma. It provides inside to a person living with the long term effects of emotional and sexual abuse faced as a child. It is also a testimony on how the belief in Christ is changing a person from a victim to a survivor, that now lives with hope instead of emotional pain. The main purpose of this book is to finally express feelings, that were not allowed to be expressed earlier in life and even today are easier expressed in writing. While the author felt true healing once a personal relationship with Christ took place, there is no force of a perticular believe system. But rather invites the reader to come up with his or her own conclusion.
