About the Author
A graduate of the University of Southern California, Cory Martin has a B.A. in English-Creative Writing, and spent time studying literature at Cambridge University in England. By the age of twenty-five, she had garnered writing credits on the hit television show, The O.C. and had been asked by Scholastic to pen three young adult novels based on the same T.V. series. She is the author of Love Sick, a memoir about dating, life in Hollywood, and dealing with MS. Her essays have appeared online with XOJane, The Mighty, and Elephant Journal.
As a passionate yogi, Cory Martin is also a 500-hr RYT and a regular instructor at the famed Santa Monica Pier's run and yoga program, ROGA. She teaches at various studios around Los Angeles and is the writer behind the documentary film Titans of Yoga.

I love this book. It was just what I was looking for. It is great for beginners! I only wish the pictures were of real people and not drawings.
This book is wonderful for someone wanting to start practicing yoga or even for those who have gotten into yoga but need a bit more guidance. It's very helpful that there are lots of illustrations, that really helps me when learning a new pose, rather than just reading instructions. Seeing it is very effective. This book includes everything you need to know about Yoga including the history and it features simple instructions for 35 essential yoga poses. It's much more than just an instructional yoga book, it gives so much more information than I expected and I love it. There is so much that I didn't know but now I feel really informed. In addtion there are instructions for breathing techniques, common terms used in yoga, proper nutrition and all in great detail. I received this book in exchange for an unbiased and honest review.
