Cassandra, You wrote an amazing novel, which is one of my favorite books. I myself have been through abuse, and this book really desribes what it's like to be a victim of abuse. I'm so glad I met you and read your book. I'm sure I'll see you at another Revolution Youth event. Love, Rachel
I was mesmerized by the time I reached the second page of "A Beautiful Girl" by Cassandra Ulrich. I was immediately drawn in as I realized a horrible secret was going to be revealed. Cassandra Ulrich draws you right into the character's plight. Her vivid and intense scene and situation descriptions take you into each character's heart, mind, and soul causing you to gasp when the character gasps and cry when the character cries. Cassandra takes you into the spirit of an abuse victim and allows you to see the world through the perspective of the victim. Through the plight of the victim, the reader can also realize that hope can reside even in the midst of despair. This may be a cliche but once you begin reading A Beautiful Girl, it becomes a part of you that you will not be able to release until you've reached the last page, paragraph, sentence, and word!
