This book isn't about being rich or poor, but I like to think that when Bill Gates said this, he meant that if you were born unhappy, it's not your fault because it is your responsibility to create your happiness. Creating an environment of contentment is up to you.
The world we live in is unfair, and so many out there are bearing with not one but several forms of injustice. Sadly, though, there isn't a damn thing we can do about it. An idealistic world is very different than the real world...
