Reviewed by JJ Phillips for Readers' Favorite Basketball and Dance Love by Cameron Glenn is a contemporary romance about never taking your friends and family for granted. There are two main characters. Amber is a young actress and dancer with a special gift. She always thought she would be a star, but is struggling to find her place in Hollywood. Derek is a basketball star and is ranked in the top among his peers. Basketball is one of his favorite things in life and he is very passionate about the sport. When the two meet, they start a budding romance that heats up into something that both feel could become quite serious. But what about their respective careers? As their romance deepens, Amber and Derek must each decide what they want most out of their lives and what, if anything, they would be willing to give up in order to be together. This is a sweet romance with a good message to share with people. I liked the relationship between Amber and Derek. Basketball and Dance Love made me ponder on the things I would (or would not) give up for this once in a lifetime romance. It was well written and the characters seemed very realistic. I felt like I was with them when they were debating what they could realistically give up and what they couldn't live without. That made this book come alive for me and I think it will ring true for other people reading this story, too.
