Overview

Genesis 5:24
And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Hebrews 11:5
By faith Enoch was translated, that he should not see death, and was not found, because God had translated him: For before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Jude 1:14
And Enoch also, the seuenth from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord commeth with ten thousands of his Saints,

Jude 1:15
To execute iudgement vpon all, and to conuince all that are vngodly among them, of all their vngodly deeds which they haue vngodly committed, and of all their heard speaches, which vngodly sinners haue spoken against him.

The quote which Enoch makes in Jude 14 is found within the early portions of The Book of Enoch... Therefore we may conclude that the disciples of Jesus The Christ studied The Book of Enoch. This is the most common explanation to how they were able to quote Enoch.

Meet the Author

The author who revised The Book of Enoch made as (little) and (few) revisions in it as possible. For he desired to have the original text. But the fact is that there were several portions of the scroll of Enoch which renders various verses missing. There were literally pieces of the document of Enoch which were lost or destroyed. And so the author, having already written the entire book of Nathan the prophet and also having written the book of Gad the seer, felt well qualified to fill in the missing parts of Enoch. So without tampering with the parts of Enoch that we do have, the author, by faith, filled in the parts that we don't.

i liked reading this book. the main complaint i have is that there is no table of contents for it. consequently, i highlighted each chapter, so at least i'd have a sense of referencing the text. This ancient book was left out of the Hebrew Bible, yet it has a very lengthy chronology, back to earliest generations of humanity. it's been around for a long time, and served well the observations on the cosmos, societal norms, and apochrophyl information. The Book of Enoch is very enlightening with answers to what you wonder about, defined in a way that is more easily understood than you may expect. I had a hard time putting it down. Check it out!

I bought this because ive been reading alot of other books that have mentioned this and fallen angels and nephilim and the elect one so i thought i would give it a go and see if i could comprehend it and finally know what authors are talking aboit when they mention this. Im not completeley done because it takes awhile to completeley know what is being said. However I now have a better understanding in all of it.

Wow! Very interesting to read! I've always wondered what happened to Enoch? Now I know! And why was it omitted from the Bible? It must have been too much for those that were in charge of assembling the Word!? Great insight into Heaven - and, the life of Enoch! It might just cause you to REALLY believe in Heaven and that there really is a God - AND judgement?!

This book answers many questions that arise from comments made by prophets, the disciples and Jesus. This book should have been included in our bible, but some decided not to include these truths. I have found it worthy to be a reference in teaching and understanding our Holy Bible.
