This is the second book I read by Tatiana Vila and let me tell you, she didn't disappoint me with this one. I absolutely loved it! Dafne is not your typical heroine, which is why I loved this book. It makes her more real, somehow, and fresh to read. She has some issues with her sister's boyfriend (more like sexual frustration) that are later on explained, and that are completely understandable. Yes, falling in love with your twin's boyfriend isn't nice (even if she fell in love with him way before he became her sister's boyfriend), but it happens. Not everything is sunshine and roses in life, not everything is perfect and nice, and this is a fine example of it. Like I said before, it makes the romance more realistic and fresh. But I do understand how this could be hard to stomach for some readers. I'm sure though, that things will take a nice turn in the next installment and a lot of things are going to be explained, say like this connection Dafne has with this dream world, Chimera. In a nutshell, Dafne is sassy, witty and fun to read. The characters are very well developed and easy to connect to. The romance is sizzling hot. I loved the continuous bantering between Ian and Dafne, and the plot, oh, I loved everything about it! I read somewhere that it was a ridiculous one, but I couldn't disagree more. It's definitely original and something I haven't seen in YA books. But what I liked most about it was the social message that was laced through it, which gives it a very nice depth. Will I read the next installment? Oh, yes. I can't wait to put my hands on it! Is this book worth you time? A double yes :)

A refreshing change from the vampire, angel craze. This novel explores the very real human emotions that affect us all, with an out of this world twist. YA's will appreciate the handsome love interest, yet question the female protagonist's family loyalty. The author skillfully blends romance, family dynamics, paranormal fantasy, and the ties that bind into a delightful story.
