Daisies in Winter

Daisy wants to be safe. It's not like she's in danger. But she feels vulnerable and alone, and needs a respite form the anxiety she piles upon herself.

As a poet, it should be easy for her to express her feelings. But it isn't.

As a teenage girl, she should have lots of friends, and maybe even a boyfriend. But she doesn't.

As a daisy, she should be fresh and energetic. But she isn'.t
