Elysa has found the love of her life, but at a particularly inconvenient, apocalyptic time frame. The tears in the fabric of the realms are starting to bleed into each other, which means the demon presence is getting more pronounced and powerful. Can the Order of the Anakim prevent the end of their world? Second in the Order of the Anakim series (or third if you count the prequel), Dark Skies is definitely dark, with a far more pronounced presence of evil than the other books. (Also more present were some of the more graphic natures of the demons - including sex and violence, so if this makes you squeamish you’ve been warned.) I thought that Dark Skies did an great job continuing the story and brought in some needed conflict within the Order itself, without being too Civil War. However, the whole crossing paths/wrong place at the wrong time thing started to get a little old for me by the end of it. I’m really looking forward to the next installment however, and of course rooting for Elysa and Jarron to make it!
