About the Author

I started writing stories seriously when I completed an online Creative Writing course at FutureLearn (https://www.futurelearn.com/) in autumn 2014. The course was brilliant and a lot of fun (I highly recommend it) and during it I discovered my literary muse Henley Bear (that's him in the picture with me). I live in a quiet village in rural South Norfolk, England with my wife and constant inspiration Manda, and Henley. My interests include cosmology, chaos theory, quantum physics, spirituality and spiritual places, the tao of physics, SETI, cultural history & mythology, citizen science and photography so I expect these themes will appear in my stories (one of them is Henley's story which he is rather chuffed about). I am currently writing a novel length follow-up to And My Heart Beats titled Phoenix Rising. It tells the story that goes before, during and after the events of And My Heart Beats.

This is an interesting story. It's very different from most others that people are going to read in terms of its construction. Despite being very brief, given its subject matter and presentation, it still feels like several different stories in one, and they're all emotionally evocative.

I found it to be a nice little story.
