Tilda Mae Robinson is a divorced woman living in Chicago. She has a great friend in Jan, her next door neighbor but Jan has a secret that she is keeping from Tilda about her personal life. Like all secret, this one eventually comes to light and sets everyone around them in a tail-spend. But there is more to this story because there are lots of lessons to be learned along the way about relationships, friendships and family. When the story opens, it is a chilled winter's day. Tilda is watching from her window as people are scurrying about and trying to get out of the cold. She is preparing a special dinner for friends.
