Did you ever want to have revenge on those who have harmed you in some way? Reading Hidden Truth and Lies, I was able to feel a little substitute pleasure with me thoughts. I smiled through this collection of Edgar Allan Poe-like sci fi short stories. The author’s characters are vivid and fascinating throughout these clever, dark and captivating stories of crimes and heinous choices. Fran Lewis is a superb storyteller. A quick, fun and delightful, (Yes, I said fun and delightful,) read! 5Stars!

Horror and/or Paranormal was never a genre I would read. However, after reading the synopsis I was intrigued, and decided to read this book. I'm so glad I did. Welcome to Golden Stone Cemetery, where those have passed over, reflect on what their life on earth was. Some ask the reader if it murder or natural causes, who did they hurt, what they did to end up in limbo, who did they hurt and some just totally disagree as to why their life ended. This is a very quick read, not being able to put it down. A definite page turner! Ms. Lewis' writing style is descriptive and fluid. Her characters were life like but not always liked. I look forward to reading more by this author!! I highly recommend this book. I think this would be a great addition to a book club as their are many questions that could and would make for a lively discussion.

I enjoy short stories and collections, especially creepy ones. And I take into account that they are just nibbles, not complete stories. Some of these were great. They gave me the shivers and I truly thought the characters got what they deserved. And a couple had me a bit confused. Perhaps because the dead were too. The dead speak from their graves in Golden Stone Cemetery. They have some ghastly tales to tell. Just how wicked were they to be buried and forgotten?. Would they repent if they could? Do they lust for revenge? Are their souls worth saving? The answers lie in these pages. It takes talent to spin good tales using so little words, and this author passed my test. While the stories are short, they leave a lasting impression. This is one that I couldn’t stop reading until I read the last word. Several of the stories had me thinking long afterwards. That’s why I’ll be reading more from this author. To quote R.L. Stine: “Beware, you’re in for a scare!”

Enter Golden Stone Cemetery at your own risk. Hidden Truths & Lies by Fran Lewis are short stories, where the dead speak from the grave. Did they get what they deserve? Did Karma come knocking on their door demanding payment? Each story left me wondering what lurks around the corner. This compilation of short stories had me cringing, wondering what I would do in their shoes. Who’s good? Who’s bad? By whose definition? Murder, vengeance, greed, negligence…evil of many shades. Once I picked up Hidden Truths & Lies by Fran Lewis, I couldn’t put it down. Fran has plenty of surprised and I loved when some of the stories didn’t play out quite like I thought they would. It’s not easy to pack so much punch into such short stories, but Fran Lewis’s great writing showed creativity for her worlds and characters. I received a copy of Hidden Truths & Lies from Fran Lewis in return for an honest review.
