I have personally enjoyed this series since I have started it. I usually personally do not enjoy books having to do with Angels, (it’s just a quirk of mine), but with this series I have completely loved all of the books I have read so far. With that being said, Ms. McMinimy does write the books to where they could be read as standalones, but you do get a much better understanding as to what is going on, and which characters are together, if you were to read the other books in the series. This story certainly does start out with a bang and it kept going all the way through it. I seriously could not put the book down once I had started it because there was so much action, suspense, and drama happening on each page I just HAD to find out what was going to happen next. But also on that token, there were some times that it was a bit crazy with the number of characters in the scenes; I was left a little confused about who was who at times since it had been so long since I read the other books. I really did enjoy Holly and Lothar’s characters in this book though. I have to say after reading this one and the others that they are my favorite couple in this series. There was just something about both of them that was extremely well written, and I was just able to connect with each of them throughout the whole story. Holly especially though, it felt like she had a sense of innocence about her, even with everything she had been through in her life. There is plenty of smuttiness that happens during the book. But it is done in a way that is very classy, it’s not over done and it adds more to the story than anything else. Ms. McMinimy has a way with words that even near the end of the book, I had tears in my eyes because she was able to bring the words off the page and they were full of emotion. I couldn’t get enough of the story and I really can’t wait to start reading the next book in the series. I would completely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading books that have smuttiness, romance, action, suspense, and drama in them. I received an advanced copy of Immortal Promise from Magen in exchange for an honest review and I honestly loved it. The Immortal Heart series revolves around a group of Immortal Light Fae Warriors as they navigate their lives - finding love, saving innocents, dealing with criminals of their own kind and trying to prevent war with the Dark Fae. In Immortal Blood we are introduced to this amazing world. Immortal Craving brings the reader deeper into the conflicts within the world. Immortal Promise takes the reader to yet another portion of this amazing world. In Immortal Promise, McMinimy draws from the characters' internal conflicts first introduced in previous stories. I love that McMinimy doesn't give up on her characters. She continues following their little quirks, bad habits and developing abilities through each new book. Bain's undeniable hatred of vampires gets addressed in just the right way. Izzy's new abilities lead her into some very … interesting situations - she's by far one of the coolest female characters I've come across lately. Kale and Katarina's relationship continues to grow. Strong, solid, responsible Lothar is not a character I would ever guess would have to put his own emotions on display. The warrior with the ability to channel the emotions of others suddenly finds himself stranded with the one woman whose heart he wishes to read and can't. Holly - light fae turned vampire - left her life behind centuries ago to escape an overprotective brother, uncaring mother and Light Fae leader sister. Little does she realize what she had left behind. Lothar and Holly find themselves stranded somewhere that no one can find and only they can earn their way out of. These two are so right for each other it's almost wrong. His strengths are her weaknesses and she is able to put him in his place with just a look. I love McMinimy's characters for just that reason - they are so realistically written that you quickly find yourself believing you could come across them on the street one day. I've already accepted that I'm lost to the world of the Immortal Heart so please don't try to rescue me. Immortal Promise is the perfect combination of love story, action/adventure and family drama/sitcom. A true must read. Happy Reading :-)

Wow! Talk about a Grand Finale! This is Lothar and Holly's story, but so much more, too. It's Uriah's story, and Rowan's, and Cree's. Izzy and Bain's, also. It's a story of love, honor, and responsibility... but also of destiny, hope, and heartbreak. I didn't think it was possible to top the first two, but I was wrong and this is by far the best in the series. Ms. McMinimy is an incredible storyteller who brings us inside her world through the wonderful imagery of her books. I, for one, wish I could just stay there forever.

I love Magen's fae. They are unique, and lovable. Each has something to bring to the table. Kale will likely always be my favorite, but Lothar is a close second at the moment. He's the one who holds the immortal warriors together. So when he finds out the love of his life, who he couldn't be with years ago, is actually alive, he of course wants to let them know. Holly however, has been hiding from her family for over a century. She's been through so much, and she knows her brother, Bain, hates all vampires, which she happens to be. When Lothar finds her alive but injured, he gives her his blood, but before he can alert her family that she's alive she zaps them into realms unknown. Now stuck in the middle of nowhere on some strange island, they have to find their way back, and Holly has to find her inner strength to get them off the island Meanwhile, back home has a brewing war between the light and dark fae. Things are happening everywhere. You’re going to have to see where it goes from here. I can’t give it all away, but it is certainly an enjoyable ride. This is by far the best of the series so far. I love it, and can't wait for the next.

Immortal Promise is the third installment of the Immortal heart series by Magen McMinimy and you will not be disappointed, that is for sure! Each one of these Fae Warriors is so different, and McMinimy is adept at moving between her characters, each with such a different personality and fire. McMinimy delivers another epic romance of these delicious Fae Warriors, and this time it’s the thoughtful empath, Lothar’s turn at bat! The tension and realism that erupts between Lothar and Holly is electric. In addition, McMinimy has woven several intricate and dastardly sub-plots that have the story moving at a vicious pace, which is wonderful. I literally read this book in two days and that’s only because I had to get some other things done, otherwise I wouldn’t have moved from my spot on the couch. I have mentioned before my complete adoration of this world that McMinimy has created and that includes the darkness. The villains are pure evil and the new lands and struggles are as engaging and wonderful as the characters. The mythology is exceptional and those of you looking for something new, it’s all right here. Do yourself a favor and start this series, get the first two books, Immortal Blood and Immortal Craving and get on board. These books are truly extraordinary!!
