Christmas and mystery are a theme in this book. Not the best I have ever read, but worth a cup of tea and a few minutes reading.

I realize these cozy mysteries are not true crime books, but I do expect them to have some grounding in reality. This book borders on fantasy as far as Police procedures go. La people are not allowed to question suspect alone in an interrogation room. Police officers do not enter homes through a window and then use the info. they gather -- at least not legally. Not impressed, won't read another.

This book begins with bad language. Crude. It must get worse after page one. Did not read.

Good mystery bulb it doesn’t solve any of the mysteries a that it brings up.

I really liked the story but was disappointed with some language she used. It didn't really do anything for the story and wasn't needed. I would like to have known this before I read it.

I enjoyed this first book in the series. It has a good plot and likable characters. The writing is a little rough around the edges in places and the pacing kind of rushes you in the end, but overall it was an enjoyable read.

When super successful singer songwriter Emma Wild returns home, nobody knows she’s nursing a broken heart and hiding from the paparazzi. But an overly zealous fan, an overly seasoned drink, and memories of the past all combine to make this a pleasingly short, fast and enticing Christmas romance, with well flavored mystery, fun characters, pleasing family relationships, and an enjoyable outcome. Plus recipes! Killer Christmas is the first book in a holiday themed collection , and the final paragraphs serve as an intriguing enticement to read more, but the story stands alone convincingly for readers just wanting to enjoy a short romantic suspense. Did I mention recipes? Chocolate? Sweetly flavored like the story. Enjoy! Disclosure : I got my copy as a gift and I offer my honest review

Actually I would give this a 3 1/2 star rating. I enjoyed it, it's quick moving, the characters are likable. I think my problem was that it moved a little too quickly in some places and so much is trying to be put in. Emma past relationship and present, a murder mystery that was quickly figured out which I actually found a little refreshing. I will continue on with this series, I really liked Emma and her family, I hope we see a little more of them in the next book.

A 80 page free story of a singer with too much fame, too much attention from the media, but not enough attention from her also famous boyfriend - so she goes home for Christmas to have a fan die in front of her at her sister's coffee shop, and then to meet the detective at the scene who is the high school sweetheart that broke her heart and she wrote her first album about. So let the angst, drama, mystery begin ....... Some kissing and hugging, with language under control. An excerpt for next in series is also provided.
