Overview

On Earth with only fragments to piece together her mysterious circumstance, the once spirit guide, Meridian carries a curse that has robbed her of her existence. Etheria’s leader is still up to any tricks available to make sure she never returns to the realm. Finding her twin soul is the only way to break Meridian’s curse.

A trip back to Salem is just what the psychic ordered as the witches and the elemental fairy nymphs expose the identity behind the creator of the curse, but now a dark witch wants Meridian for her own agenda. As Meridian finds Aiden, so do the impacts of her curse and what it means for their relationship.

The Hall of Souls is under a threat, and the ban on guides to watch over humans remains, leaving Earth at the whims of the demons. A trickster demon dangles an answer with his riddle, but leaves more mystery around the identity of Meridian’s twin soul. An ironic stroke of luck comes through an arrogant demon of the high court that may buy the guides and Meridian more time, but in the end, it is Meridian who has to find her twin soul. Who is Meridians twin soul? Find out in this dark and twisted paranormal romance.

This book was soo much easier to get into, than the first now that I know the world and characters. I highly recommend you read book one first. I really enjoyed this book, the story continues with a bunch of twist and turns and mega surprises and also some loses. But what I liked the most was the characters growth in this book. Meridian is now human and has no memory of her past life. Not only does she have to fight of evil, but also remember her past life and the curse all the while to learn to be human and what it means to be human. Of course there are some cringe worthy moments for her as a “new “ human ,but with help of friends, some new and some old she is adjusting and learning. But there also some funny moment as Meridian has the same humor as she did before. She does adjust and learn rather quick some things other things take her a while to get used to or learn. We learn more about the curse, and how to break it… is it even possible?! …… We not only follow Meridian but also friends and Aiden and most of everyone else we met, that must watch her stumble through a world she doesn’t know all the while she is danger. They do what they can but there is only so much that they can do. We also get some unlikely allies along the way. One of the things I like, is that this world is rather unique and we get so many different type of supernaturals, one big world combined. Overall I loved this book, the world building is huge but awesome and I love to learn along with my heroes, which is the case with this series. The ending left us with a great cliff hanger and I can’t wait for next book in the series. I rate this book 5★

I received the advance reader copy at my request, and I am submitting this review voluntary. I read Book 1 in this series and loved it. I feel that Book 2 is even better! Again the story is incredibly original, and truly a breath of fresh air in the paranormal/fantasy genres. I love how the author works in so many different races, but makes them easy to relate to as well. I especially love that you get to know more characters on a deeper level, and some of the new additions to the story. Additions such as the demon Lahash which you will love to hate, but cant help but like him. The story kept my attention cover to cover, and I loved the ending. It was truly classic. I will defiantly be reading the rest of the books in the series!
