If you love New Orleans and the wonderful food of New Orleans, this is the cookbook for you.It is a fascinating read all by itself. It gives the history of many restaurants and fine chefs, from the fanciest to the local places. Beautiful pictures and easy to follow recipes. A must for all cooks that enjoy New Orleans cuisine.

Never before has a cookbook explored New Orleans famous restaurants, high and low, and teased the special recipes from famous chefs .Arnaud's Trout Meuniere has my husband ask me to marry him all over again. Emeril's Barbecued Shrimp is a bite of glory and don't miss Greg Reggio's Blackened Redfish, the right way. You'll fall in love with the crabmeat and shrimp dishes and don't forget the oysters. Once again Chef Leah Chase shows us what Stewed Shrimp is all about. It' all there, simple to prepare and beautifully photographed so you can see what the finished dish should be. Don't forget to read the little snippets of history lore and legend about the restaurants and chefs. They're as entertaining as the food.
