Whenever Cindy Harper felt stressed out, she turns to ice cream which helps sooth her especially with the strange requests of her guests who stay at her New Jersey Woo Woo Inn, the center of weirdness. However, the stress that Thrain Davis brings to her cannot be cured by a sweet cold treat. Thrain¿s best friend, Cindy¿s father; asked him to help his daughter believe that seven hundred years old like she is and having customers who are vampires, deities, and other paranormal ilk is real albeit abnormal. Even Thrain has a special bite to him, which frightens Cindy when she realizes he is a vampire.--- As Thrain falls in love with his host, she reciprocates, but fears his blood sucking nocturnal needs. Demonic feline visitors Sparkle Stardust and Ganymede ¿Mede¿ are guests at the inn doing what they do best, interfering with the natural order of things so that chaos reigns. As Thrain makes progress and Cindy starts to become comfortable with her beloved and with other revelations, the cosmic troublemaking duet strike. --- Nina Bangs is a master of blending ecstasy and humor within a romantic fantasy. The jocular story line is fast-paced as the way out cast makes for a delightful time for the audience. Thrain is a sensual sensitive vampire who feels guilt and a sense of betrayal by falling in love with the daughter of his best friend who he is supposed to help regain her footing. The inn is a terrific locale as the paranormal check in, check out, and sometimes in between. The bonus of the dynamic troublemaking duet of Sparkle and Mede add plenty of laughs. Fans will appreciate Ms. Bangs¿ lighthearted supernatural fantasy.--- Harriet Klausner

Love this series Nina is a very entertaining writer that keep her story and charachters moving right along with plenty of laughs, tears, suspense and love. You will find all kinds of creatures in her stories but it isn't confusing she makes it work. I can't wait to read the next book. Read them in order. This book is about Thrain and Cindy. Cindy is taken from her father Darach a vampire by her mother. She doesn't know about him at all she thinks she was abandoned. Thrain feels responsible because he helped Cindy's mother not knowing her plan to run away. Thrain has been searching for close to seven hundred years for her and now he has found her but his attraction to her causes some problems especiallly her fear of being bitten.

The beginning of this book is a muddle of happenings and characters. The entirety is choppy and disjointed, and the ending unsatisfying. There is an air of nonchalance in regards to the strange goings on, as if the reader and the characters should simply take things at face value which is a problem since there is simply too much going on, and too many characters who are simply mentioned offhand, and contribute nothing. Due to a lack of character background and inadequate setup there's a distinct feeling you're walking in on an ongoing story or a part of a series and that the characters have been developed in some previous, unmentioned episode. Things happen without drawing the reader into the story or the characters' lives and as a result the erotic events flounder because the two main characters remain almost as undeveloped as the strange smattering of overly abundant background characters. Things that should be funny are barely mildly amusing because there is no depth to compliment the humor. Thrain simply walks in and is immediately on an intimate level with Cindy when the fact is, they are complete strangers but there is no acknowledgement of this, instead the focus is solely on whether or rather when they'll have sex. Their banter is unsatisfying and at times more a nuisance, than anything, particularly in the erotic scenes. Their romantic/sexual interaction is overplanned, lacks spontaneity, romance, or at the very least, sensual appeal. They talk about it a lot but when it's actually happening...they're still talking about it. Prada and Trojan serve only to detract from Thrain and Cindy's developing relationship and despite playing an unnecessarily large part in this story their ultimate motives and purpose seems meaningless, and their presence ultimately unneeded and their absence would actually have allowed a real relationship to develop between Thrain and Cindy and a real romantic plot with them at its center. Instead the focus is spread too wide and as a result the impact is diffused. The story isn't lighthearted and amusing, it's shallow, empty, and disappointing and I'm now even more wary of the vampire romance genre.

This book had so much to offer. It's not the usual creepy romance, but rather an adventure, romance, comedy, and paranormal fusion. It has the air of light playful banter and steamy romance that makes any woman weak at the knees. Bangs really packs a wallop with this phenomenal novel. A book to test the skills of many generations to come.

I am a big fan of romances, and Night Bites was great. It combines vampires, ice cream, and comedy to create a sensual and exhilarating ride for the reader. I have never laughed so hard while reading. The cosmic troublemakers-Sparkle Stardust and Gynemede AKA Prada Smith and Trojan create completely hilarious situation. Although there are very few erotic scenes, there's plenty of sexual tension. This is a great addition to any library.

Cindy Harper does not believe in anything out of the ordinary, despite owning an inn that caters to were - beings, vampires, ancient pagan dieties, and the assorted troublemaker; and despite being over seven hundred herself. Thrain's mission is to convince her otherwise; he is her father's oldest friend, a vampire, and falling in love with her. This gels nicely with Sparkle Stardust and Ganymede's plans. Undercover, as Prada and Trojan, these cosmic troublemakers enter to Woo Woo inn to do what they do best. By now you should know that when Sparkle and Mede are bad, they're better, and now, they're at their best. .......................................... **** Nina Bangs can be depended upon to give her readers a good laugh. Mede and Sparkle are among the best literary cats in history. If you are looking for an escape, take them with you. ****
