Plays of Near & Far

Lord Dunsany was a prominent Anglo-Irish author and playwright. Dunsany was a prolific writer and his fantasy fiction was a major influence on other great authors such as Tolkien and Lovecraft. Dunsany was also notable for being the chess champion and pistol-shooting champion of Ireland. Many of his short story collections as well as his novel, The King of Elfand's Daughter, are still widely read today.
