## I just finished reading "Pursuit" by Ms. Chance and loved, loved it. Which, incidentally, was my 3rd time reading it. But this one was disappointing. I love myself a sexy alpha male who is possessive and protective. Especially in bed. Things like "you're mine" are super hot. But being a liar and forcing yourself on someone is NOT hot. It's degrading. Please, please Ms. Chance, write a strong heroine next time! Doormats need not apply. This one missed the mark for me.

Eh..this was okay. Max was your typical alpha male. Just like in all Lynda Chance's books, so that was to be expected and truthfully her books would be lacking if they didn't contain this type of male hero. Sexy, dominant but with a hint of vulnerability as well. Erin was just to much of a marshmallow for me. She tried to put up a good front but at the end of the day was led by her hormones. It was like as long as Max was giving it to her she would do whatever he wanted, which I found so freaking baffling considering her three oldest brothers are freaking badasses, you would think some of that would have rubbed off on her...sighs! As far as Max's revenge on the Rule's brother...it's just to stupid and ludicrous to even go on about... SR

I had hoped Max would get a book, but this was not what I expected. Spent much of the book seriously Not liking him. He took alpha and turned it ugly. The sex between Max and Erin was great but it wasn't until he redeemed himself at the end that he became Max-ilicious! Left me loving this book. Now I hope we get Nora's story too? As always I just hope LC writes fast - I want more!

So I am a huge fan of Lynda. I love her alpha males. This one ticked me off. This wasn't alpha, he was horrid. Basically holding her captive in a different country? The way he made her sleep tied to him? Just not ok at all. He should have had to crawl back to her after the way he treated her. She didn't make him cave near enough.

While eagerly awaiting for the release of next Rule story, I knew it would be worth the long wait. Lynda does it again! Erin and Max's story is intense and captivating. No one does alpha males like Ms. Chance. For all you know Max is cut by the same cloth as The Rule brothers. Erin is delightful, witty and assertive ultimately being Max's soulmate in spite of the revenge and sexually charged journey. Dare we hope to hear about Rafael and Nora's story? I sure hope so!

This novella was very violent. At times I didn't know how to feel. The sex was hot but the violent crimes against the lead character made it difficult to love the leading man. I liked the ending because we got to see into his head, and all became clear.

Making me physically I'll. As other reviewers have stated: Degrading, stalking, alcohol, TSTL "herione," abuse, kidnapping, this has it all. Well done author..that is, I assume you meant for this to be filled with hate towards women?

Yuck. I am a new fan of Lynda Chance and have read 10 or her books including the other three Rule family books, but this one is terrible. The female character is annoying. Fingernails on the chalkboard, annoying! I have been skimming since page 49 in hopes of finding something redeemable about her character and the story, but never found it.

Sorry but stalking, lying, and manipulation through inebriation are just not acceptable.

Max is so intense and so dominating with his alpha personality I loved it! I'm also happy that Erin did not back down and just give in to what he wanted and that she had the mind enough to figure out what was going on and not just accept what he was telling her.

Great, as usual.

A great ending to the House of Rule series. Think Rule brothers with added Latino machismo..!, This is the final book in the House of Rule series (well, at least I think it is, although when you read this, you may wonder and you might want to beg the author for more) and technically, I suppose it can be read as a standalone, but it's best to read the series in order because the previous leads do make an appearance...or few, and events take place pretty much immediately after/as Rule's Addiction ends. If you're acquainted with the previous Rule books - and if you're a fan of Ms Chance - you'll know to expect some seriously Alpha proclamations, followed by battle-of-the-sexes dialogue and passion, seriously smouldering sex scenes, and a decent storyline, which is what you get here. Only, it's amplified by having an Argentinian male lead, and with a Rule female who refuses to obey his rules. I mean, she's learned from the best, so what does he expect? As with all Lynda Chance books, it ends with a HEA - and leaves me hoping it won't be long before she releases another book.
