Shattered Soul (AIR #1) by Amanda Booloodian

Protecting mythological creatures has never been easy. Being marked for death adds a whole new level of peril.
Instead of using my powers as a Reader to work the psychic network hotlines, I work as a field agent for the clandestine agency, AIR. My elven partner Logan is showing me the ropes. Relocating a troll and interviewing a werewolf should be a normal day. When shots are fired and a fairy turns up dead, our day turns into a nightmare.
My job keeping the Lost hidden from the world takes a U-turn into an investigation. Using my powers, I have a shot at tracking the killer, but someone else has the same idea. An agency sanctioned assassin mistakes me for a demon and almost succeeds in taking me off the case and out of life. These are my tax dollars at work.
With my powers raging out of control and a target on my back, will I be able to protect the Lost?
If you love Urban Fantasy or Supernatural Suspense, the AIR series will keep you turning the pages!

About the Author

Amanda Booloodian lives in Missouri with her loving, and often times peculiar, husband. In 2006, she took part in Great Beginnings and was awarded first place in the Mystery/Thriller category. Amanda has been passionate about the written word throughout her life. Now, much of her spare time is spent at the computer, delving into worlds accessible only through vivid imagination. In warm weather, when she isn’t tapping away at the keyboard, she can often be found wandering through the wilderness. Occasionally she gets it into her head to SCUBA dive or to sit back at home and make wine, which can have interesting results and inspire her writing.

I got a little confused with the characters at first, but once I figured out who was who and that I had not missed a previous novel all was good. This can be read as a stand alone, but the series does capture the imagination. Charters are likeable. Although some questions don't get answered, like why someone thought Cass was a demon.
