About the Author

The preeminent American novelist and short story writer of his time, Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) wrote provocative fiction steeped in the experiences of the "lost generation" that came of age during World War I. Hemingway's four best-known books — The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Old Man and the Sea — highlight the author's trademark economy of style while depicting lives shaped by futility, frustration, and disappointment. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954.

While this is supposed to be 49 of Hemingway's stories, there is only one, and that is incomplete. But it was free, so no big loss.

Despite the negative reviews , i decided to give the book a try . It wasfairly good and did infact include 49 stories . 49 stories is a name OF a book by Ernest Hemingway . However the book included short synopsi of multiple novels ad plays by Hemingway . It is a commendable read and i applaud it .

I wanted to believe that the previous 0-star reviewer had simply done something wrong, but the book really is unreadable.
