My headline really sums it all. I just read this book and the only reason I remained reading to the end was to find out who was the murderer. I have it a 3 stars because it does keep you intrigued - if you focus on the murder mystery part. The rest is all about the main character- with his "beauty", "wealth", "body" and "extra large penis size" to top it off - and all his sexcapades. He is an unlikeable arrogant shallow jerk who sleeps with every man who gets in his way - so you really don't care about him but I found myself more interested in the secondary characters around than this idiotic character.

Shallowly drawn characters - the killer is telegraphed well in advance of being revealed. Just having a character be gay gay doesn't make them interesting. Had some elements if a good story IF they had been developed. Reads more like a draft - a shame since so much more could have been done.

This public imposition, to use Poe's phrase, was unbearable. I could not finish it. It is a work spilling over with hyper-inflated, limp characters who have perhaps not even one dimension. The writing is so affected as to nauseate the unfortunate reader.

I really do not understand the many vitriolic comments about this book. True, it is not 'Literature' and there are many errors in grammar, but I found it to be a really fun read. I believe it was intentionally written as silly and pretentious: take out the explicit sex and this could easily be transformed into an entertaining made-for-TV movie. And speaking of explicit sex, did none of the people who complained about it read a sample first? Besides, it seems that more than half of the books in the Gay & Lesbian category are also erotica. This should have come as no surprise to anyone. And it was FREE, for crying out loud!

Decent book - short enough, predictable, and just plain enjoyable. Likable characters as well.

This book is a disaster. Despite all of the grammar mistakes, and unintriging dialogue. The characters are the real disapointment. The main character has an ego that feeds on giving himself compliments. Like about his body, his money, and his power. The teachers and other older characters break the law so they can be with him. Its slutty. Horrifying. And disturbing in many ways. Not at all worth reading. And should be burned from all bookshelves so no one will have to suffer through reading it...

Very predictable outcome. The plot was interesting enough to keep me reading but easily could have put the book down without feeling guilty. There was a lot of male on male sexual acts described. I would not recommend to minor children.

I would read reviews so you know what you are reading. I found it a bit odd but entertaining which is what I was wanting :)

As a writer of fairly fluffy boys love stories I liked the detail and the... fun scenes. But the characters are too perfect and hard to relate to. The author is very descriptive and uses a lot of imagery but I'd like a bit more sensory detail to make it fully enjoyable. Three stars!

great read and what a twist. i just kinda wish the author would have gotten past the first pagr without the 40year old giving a minor a blow job and vise-versa

This book is the best gay crimelmystery ever written and this is author is a genius and is very talented.I was into this book the moment i read the frist few lines in the story. I even stop watching tv and playing on my computer just to read this book to the end. I never fell in love with a book like i did with this one and i was really sad when it ened. I do hope and wish that the author will make a Danny Vandervere series or a sequel to this novel. I highly recamend this book to anyone and it should be on the best seller's list. And now i'm going to find more works by this author.

This book was really amazing. The words used fit the character. My only problem was not having a broad enough vocabulary to understand all of the words. I was really hoping for a different out come but I was very surprised. The writing style is very good, and I only wish I was their editor. I found a few spelling errors and confusing sentences. Its a shame because they could have easily been avoided. Otherwise I was drawn into the story and the descriptions really put me there.

If you came for gay, you'll get gay. Plenty off it. The actual storyline is kinda... shallow i guess. I liked it yes, but there are some definite flaws. Be prepared for a major Gary Stu character when you read it. Yes there are some sex scenes so be wary of that.
