About the Author

Jennifer L. Oliver was first bitten by the story bug when she saw Star War IV at the tender age of 5. Once she realized that her mind held the key to doorways of dimensions far beyond our own, she found sanity in escaping from the doldrums of the physical world to the magical places she created in her stories.

After many years of working at a daily newspaper, she honed her writing skills in secret. Now Jennifer brings that same opportunity of escape and entertainment to readers of her dark urban fantasy and paranormal thrillers.

She lives on Florida's Gulf Coast with her husband, two cats, and a Royal Bahamian Potcake dog that is half her size and thinks the world revolves around food and treats. When she's not writing, you can find her playing in the flower garden, giggling with her granddaughter, and enjoying time with her family and friends.

I was really impressed by this novella. It started off strong and went right into the story, which I enjoy. There are always books that require more back story than others, and there are times when, as a reader, I just want to get right to the plot. The Unnamed is one of those stories that jumps right off the page, that takes off like a cannon and doesn't let go or lose pace. I can't wait for the first full-length book in the Haedyn Chronicles. I'll definitely be reading that one. Disclaimer: I was provided with a copy of this novella by the author in exchange for an honest review.

The devil, or in this case the demon, is certainly in the details of this story. It was fascinating, with in-depth characters and full of the details that you want to see in a prequel. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I'm getting the books in succession. The author built the story up giving you insight from origin to present date. Word choice kept me glued to the page awaiting the next scene. Combining biblical text with her imagination is what keeps you entranced to want to know more. Excellent prequel!!!
