The Wakeful World: Animism, Mind and the Self in Nature based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
This was a useful book, presenting a clear perspective on where animist thought sits amidst the ideas of western philosophy. It is no light read. The author goes through a great deal of effort to clarify how she is using terms, reflecting on etymological roots and digging carefully into the unstated assumptions underlying their use by other writers. However, grappling with the use of words to distinguish ideas is an important part of the journey, and the result is satisfying.
