About the Author

Candy lives in Ayrshire, Scotland with her dog and two ten year old cats who still think they are kittens. She has been a fan of fantasy fiction (and sci-fi as long as it isn't too technical) since her first year at university when a friend introduced her to talking dragons. She started to write on Christmas Day 2003 when she sat down and planned out her first book which (after many revisions) became the first book in the Planet Wolf Series, Wolves and War. Candy works in accountancy, scribbles words in amongst the figures and carries a notebook everywhere she goes (in which she writes down ideas and stories). She has been known to drive off the motorway, park the car in the first available safe spot and write for an hour or more. Candy writes her books in British English. Originally a language of mainland Europe, through the centuries it evolved in England and Southern Scotland before spreading around the world. Added to the basic standards, many national versions are recognised, including American English and British English, which have some grammatical differences and a number of spelling differences.

Just an incredible story. Great caracters, story, plot.... could not put it down. Sad at times, really really depressing at others, but ... it is just great. Drags you in from the beggining, i'll be getting the rest books on the series. Just can't help wondering what's going to happen next. How really twisted the bad guys are, how hope and love snd shear determination can stop them. Will re-read after my tears dry.

I chose this book because it was free, had good reviews, and had an interesting concept. I managed to read it in it's entirety, but it was really a struggle. The characters felt flat and undeveloped, and the dialogue did not seem realistic. Overall I would suggest choosing a different title.

This book is totally awesome !! I simply loved it !! I read it and couldn't put it down. Very good read. This is just the first in the series. I couldn't wait to read the next one and the next etc. I got them all. All of them very well written and good to the end.

this was a book that had lots of action a different take on the paranormal but not so sure it will appeal to all. i read all types of books but this one became boring even though it had a lot going on . i skipped through chapters and couldn't wait for it to end

First of all, I'd LOVE if this was made into a movie! Secondly, I would probably rate it PG-13, due to the nature of the various battle scenes that take place throughout the novel.

Honestly, I really enjoyed the story - but the absolute lack of anything resembling grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc throughout the entire book really detracted from the plot. This book was rife with errors - reading it makes me think it was never even seen by an editor. For a free book I don't want to complain too much, but if the next books in the series are as badly in need of editing as this one, then I am definitely not going to actually pay to buy any of them. If you can stomach the need for proofreading, then the actual plot is enjoyable. Just don't expect anything too deep.

The story linne was captivating, but it didn't feel well written, and I had to reread a few passages in order to understand. I am excited to read the next book.

This is a great book, i could not put it down but i had to when my reader died. I finished this book in just 2 days. It keep me interested and wanting more. I recommend that you get all of the books at one time so you can keep reading. I wish i had and am now getting the rest of the series so that i can just keep reading and not have to stop. This is a must read.

It felt like I was reading a children's story. Everything was simplistic with novdepth at all. It was also irritating trying to figure out the british english. Half the time the characters made no sense.

Im an 11 year old just starting 6th grade. I love to read, and wolves are one of my favorite animals. I read book 1 in around June and finished book about 6weeks ago. I love tge books, and Candy rae is amazing! It had a few thingd that probably werent appropriate for my age, but i loved it anyways. I love the Lind and Larg, the epic battles, and everything about the series. I actually learned a LOT about politics by reading this, and i truly encourage Candy Rae to write another series. This is now one of my favorite serues, besides "Warriors" by Erin Hunter. Thank you, Candy Rae for providing an endkess source of enjoyment to read over the summer. I wouldnt reccomebd this boik unless you are 13-14+. Write more books! Sincerely, A loving fan

I highly recomend this book. It is science fiction and fantasy at its best. I am looking forward to the rest of this series.

No hook, characters are not well developed or explained in any way. It is simply not interesting and not easy to follow. The 'good' reviews seem scripted and perhaps written by the author's well-meaning friends/family. Not for me, but by all means, try the sample first and judge for yourself, as everyone is different.

An 800 page FREE sci-fi book of an spaceship exodus from Earth that encounters a cosmic storm 12 years into voyage with only two ships surviving to crash land on opposite sides of a planet with a surpise for the colonist ship survivors - a peaceful sentient wolf (not wolverine) society, the Lind. On the opposite of the world, the convict ship crashes with the crew fleeing to escape the 20,000 convicts on board, and the convicts meeting with the man-eating wolf species, the Larg. Survival, anxiety, violent descriptions of brutality, and mentions of rape. Also a story of family, joy, and love. An exciting read of the struggle of survival and forming a society both good and bad. A glossary of characters and language also included. A few typos and punctuation mistakes shown but nothing that someone of intelligence cannot interpret and overcome.

This was truly a gem. It is well written and is an original and unique story. The characters are likeable and the story line progresses well. The bad guys are complex and not one dimentional. Over all a very enjoyable book to read. I like that there were no swear words or vulgar sex in it. I an 55 years old and would highly recomend this book. I look forward to book 2 . I really enjoyed this book. I agree with others that it could have used a good proof reader. I also felt that the battle was to long. I would have given 5 stars had it not been for those two things. I recommend this book just be aware. I liked it enough that I will try the next one. Give it a try...enjoy!
