A New Future

We've all had bad days, but nothing like the morning Catherine woke up to that early spring morning. She was a nurse at the local hospital, and they depended on her. Her power was off which wasn't so unusual in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia but her car wouldn't start either. She picked up her cell phone to call the hospital and it was dead.
