Arctic Passage

This is a short work of fiction. It is fiction written in, for lack of a better description, a split tradition. It is Historical Fiction set in the Age of Exploration, in this case the early to mid 1600s. It is also Science Fiction, with what I would like to think is an unexpected twist near the end of the story.
