Bury Corporation Transport boasted a fleet of more than ninety buses – mainly produced by Daimler and Leyland. In many ways, the company was a trailblazing operator; it was one of the first operators of diesel-powered buses, the only Lancashire municipal operator three-axle double-deckers and the first operator of new Leyland buses after the Second World War.
