Oh how I loved this series! I loved the ending! I want a movie made of this series! I want to give it 10 stars! I want to go reread the whole series again! I loved all the surprises in the book that leads to the most amazing ending ever! Because I really didn’t see it ending like that! This series needs to be read in order, so if you haven’t read the first book, you will need to stop here and go get it! In this final book of the series, we find the Krigers together in the forest working on their powers and putting them together with Kaia’s and growing stronger so they might defeat King Morlet and kill him and end the curse that has plagued him, Vidar and Anders for over 100 years leaving them in a sort of state of immortality. Morlet has the Skog Heks magic in him that is evil and he has grown darker over the years. But before that happened, he was Espen and Vidar’s brother. Espen was a good man. At times, we see Espen’s good side come out. He still protects Kaia and loves her. Morlet loves her in his own evil way too. Anyway, as the curse goes, part of breaking it is if Kaia bears a child of Morlet’s. This child will change everything. But you have to read the book to find out what is so special about this to be child. So Kaia marries Morlet and she gives herself to him to fulfill this part of ending the curse. I have to say that this part is the only thing that bugged me a little. While she loves the part of Morlet who helps her when she is in trouble and gives her his evil magic to help her get out of trouble, her love for him is a different sort of love, she deeply loves Anders. And finally we hear Kaia and Anders both tell each other so and why they can never be, and I sighed with happiness when they said this and then was sad to hear they could never be together. But anyway, Kaia has a bond with Morlet from the magic they share and one day Kaia and Anders’s start to kiss and well if Morlet hadn’t yelled and sent some unpleasant sensations in Kaia’s head over his jealousy and rage at the betrayal, I think they might have gone too far. That bothers me that Kaia, who is supposed to be with the markings of choice and always trying to do what is right and good, would choose to possibly cheat on her husband, whether or not she loved him in that way. But I can let that go because of the way it ende Kaia tries to get Espen to come out of Morlet more and Morlet feels himself unraveling over his feelings for her and ending the curse. There is also some subplots going on and other things that need to be fixed to wrap the story up. There were some surprises and some little twists. There was some sad things too. There is also lots of action! I really enjoyed the writing. Everything flowed well. I only was sad at one thing that happened that seemed to just hit you a little too fast. The Krigers are friends of Kaia’s and I loved their characters and honor in them. Kaia is also a quick thinker and although she is 16, the girl did good and got out of some really sticky situations! Ugh! I need to go back and read it all again. Also, I really keep thinking about all the love in this book and even though there is an evil curse and evil going on, the love really trumped all!! There was so much sacrifice for the good!! Ok, gotta go, I need to go back and reread it! If you like good vs evil, curses, sacrifices, choices, magic, finding the good in someone, love, mastering weapons, jealousy, kings and queens, fairy tales then this might be for you!

There are all new challenges in the finale of the Krigers book. True to the theme of the first two, Kaia is given a number of choices, but she's not getting all of the details. Everyone around her is keeping secrets. When the past of the Heks begins to taint the present, opposing forces must work together to preserve their new reality and fulfill the mission of Grei Heks. And as Kaia's choices become more personal, we are at last led to a conclusion fit for this series.

What a ride! This final book in the Krigers trilogy has many twists and turns. I had no idea how it would all play out for Kaia, Anders, Vidar, Morlet, and the Krigers. If you are looking for action, suspense, fantasy, and romance, this trilogy is for you!
