IT WAS DECEMBER 3, 1943, AND AMERICAN WARPLANES WERE ON ASSIGNMENT OVER Nazi Germany. Sergeant William Rasmussen was the ball turret gunner on the Hell's Belle, a B-17 heavy bomber.
