Matthias doesn't know what is about to happen. Life might be a little less than ordinary, but until the unthinkable happens for him, Matt thinks things are pretty much on track. Nothing like meeting the girl of your dreams in the middle of nowhere on the highway and getting caught up in an all out family war between Vampires to give you a reality check.
Battling himself, then those he held closest to him, Matt descends into darkness partly of his own will, and partly because his hand is forced, but justifying what he does next might cost him his soul after all.
Surrounded by the undead, learning to use his skills to protect himself and others, and desperately holding on to what he beleives in, can Matt have it all, or will he lose it all trying to save the woman he loves?

About the Author
I first started using a pseudonym, Rachael Silver, before coming to my senses. I always loved the concept of a good 'story' and I think the idea of a story is born from deep inside our social genetic makeup. When I think of the term story, I think of caveman fires, explaining the reasons behind storms, death, the hunt. I think of how the concept has changed over time to incorporate cautionary tales, inform or disfigure history, and to what I have come to love as a part of myself now. When I first started, I had a burning image in my mind of a guy driving down the freeway to get away from it all. Putting this image on paper, led from one to another until the first Novella, Night Driving was finished. I liked the short punchy nature of the novella format, and moved on the the next three, all leading from the first. Eventually I compiled the four interrelated stories into one compendium - Matthias. After the first book, I wanted to take on the challenge of an actual novel, and so, Asatru started being written. Asatru ended up being renamed Finding Rachael, with the screenplay being a finalist in A Night of Horror Film Festival in 2013. This novel took a different path however - writing from 3 people's perspectives. Definately fun, and very different from Matthias. Next up was Talent, told from a third person narrative, and all about an immortal witch with 'relationship issues' with an underlord and the need to anchor to a mismatched group of strangers in a fight for survival. Then came The Kindred, which I carried through by also making a book trailer and soon to be movie following on from the screenplay being selected as a finalist in A Night of Horror film festival again in 2013. In my latest book, The Shape of Wrath, we meet a near future world where those with supernatural talents and the 'Normals' live in a divided society. It has it all, the princess in the tower, the reluctant warrior, the pull between head, heart, choice and fate in a trist for ultimate power. There are still many ideas brewing which are yet to come from an accidental serial killer to a heavenly battle for souls... all in good time. In all my books, I like to keep a running link from the last book, even if it is very small/passing in nature. If you're game, see if you can find the link along the way. Hope you enjoy!
