During the Second World War, the Norwegian Resistance Movement was dramatically expanded to resist the Nazis as soon as the country was invaded. Thousands of young Norwegians fought against the invaders. Some in the resistance group were sent to Britain to be trained and returned to Norway to provide critical intelligence about the activities of the Germans. After their training, they would be provided by M16. Parachuted back into Norway with a mission and supplies.
