Overview

Of Sun & Moon (Midnight Guardian Series, Book 1) by Bryna Butler

Over the years, humans have pieced together sighting and assumptions to create the myth of the tooth fairy. As it turns out, they were pretty much wrong.

Keira Ryan has the same worries as any other high school freshman...her classes are boring, she's crushing on an older guy, her best friend is dating a spoiled cheerleader...and, oh yeah, she's a tooth fairy destined to bring about the end of a royal line of vicious, blood-sucking tyrants.

I left a review of this book on the paperback version but wanted to give it a shout out for the Nook readers. I actually read this on another format and then ordered a paperback from this site for a friend. This is a unique story of a tooth fairy who bestows gifts upon special people who will influence the world in the future. There are, of course, those out to stop the fairy from delivering those gifts. Surprises, twists, relatable characters, great dialogue and use of well known legends in a different way make this book a stand-out from the usual supernatural tale. If you're a fan of this genre, this book is a must read.

Clean and imaginative. Could use some grammar editing, but overall it's a creative story about a girl with a special life task. Some drama and romance, but still appropriate for teens/YA. The overall storyline is a part of the series, but all of the drama in this story is wrapped up.
