About the Author

Born in a small, quiet town in Pennsylvania, Yaw is a long-time poet, author, watcher of life, and avid thinker. Growing up in a time before social media, there was still a sense of the world being your own, and a personal experience. Without the distractions of every opinion in the way.
After having numerous near-death experiences at a very young age, an anxiety grew inside of him. One that could only be satisfied with the knowledge and understanding of what it is we’re all doing here. The purpose of this adventure. And sharper eye for this world would develop because of that need and desire to truly see the foundations of the human experience.
As an author, artist and healthcare worker, as well as the author of 'From Then 'til Now', an anthology of poetry spanning a decade, he has found again a natural affinity with the deeper parts of life and a love for the poetic language.
Writing poetry from time to time throughout life, the state of mind was always there. As a creative, and a keen watcher of life, the thoughts naturally formed themselves in introspective and speculative ways. All that was needed was to put it onto paper.
He tries to always find a way to feel the novel moments in life and live deeper within those experiences, pulling out as much as possible for further inspection.
As a worker in healthcare, he has seen some of the most vulnerable and honest moments a person will experience throughout their lifetime.
All of these experiences have allowed him to find a sense of joy and curiosity for even the most mundane moments we find ourselves in.
