Possible Spoiler Alert:Red unicorn was the necessary answer to Gold Unicorn: Gold Unicorn left Tanaquil unfinished. She didn't have what she wanted and was miserable and without goals because of it. During Red Unicorn, Tanaquil has another Unicorn and a whole new world, but it ties everything together- every world answers a need she has- this one resolved her need for love, helped her relate to her mother, and helped her figure herself out. I did like this trilogy a lot, but I'll be swapping it.

I think that Red Unicorn is a very good book and I would recommend it to anyone who likes magic, action, and some romance packed into one book. This book was awesome and eventful. Rack another point up for Tanith Lee!

This is a very well-written book! However, I think the first two in the series were better. This one just didn't quite have the flair as found in The Black Unicorn and The Gold Unicorn, but as the end of the Unicorn trilogy, I would recommend that all fantasy lovers read The Red Unicorn.
