Ruhunurata - The Little Southern Kingdom

Ruhunurata was the little southern kingdom that was established after the time of King Devanampiyatissa. In the years to come, it proved to be a refuge for Sinhalese kings against South Indian invasion. It was also the seat of Buddhist learning. The kingdom of Ruhunurata played an important role in the history of Lanka.
