As China's impact on America grows, our interest in China has also grown. This book describes one family's participation in that growth. It is a fictional account of a part of the real history that shaped China into the country that we can easily visit on a two or three week vacation.
The China Sand Wedge was written for the reader who wants an overview of the larger movements of this history as well as the minor moments of family life, feather stitched onto the fabric of the times. I am pleased to have taken the time and opportunity for travel that was required to write it. My hope if that you will go to China, or visit an exhibition, or see some art, or meet someone and will have this book in mind as a reference.
