Overview

Seventeen-year-old Genesis Green is living anything but a charmed life. As far back as she can remember, she and her mother have been bouncing from town to town, struggling to survive on Ramen noodles and minimum wage.

Late one evening, Genesis and her boyfriend are in a car accident. Carter's SUV rolls, and Genesis finds herself injured, lying on the pavement. Just before she slips into the darkness an unfamiliar voice calls out to her, promising everything will be fine.

His name is Seth, and he's the Guardian assigned to protect her.

When Genesis begins having bizarre visions, the Guardians believe she could be useful to them. To Seth, this means stepping into the middle of an epic battle between angels and demons. Even with supernatural protection, there's no guarantee he can keep Genesis safe, something that's becoming more important to him by the day.

The line between reality and the celestial becomes so blurred that Genesis can't decide who's real and who's otherworldly, and worse: who's good and who's evil.

THE GUARDIAN is a 53k-word/215-page novel for young adults.

When i picked up this book i had just finished the book Awakening which was also about demons and angels, and was written horribly i might add, and really made me start to doubt the idea that a book about demons and angels could actually be interesting and i was going to give up completely on the topic but found The Guardian and decided to give it one last try. And im SO GLAD that i did!!! I was pleasantly surprised with how well this was written, the characters had perfect depth without coming across as two different people talking with one voice, the plot was well thought out and kept me interested (although it does get slow and drags at certain parts) and the romance was sweet without making me cringe from corny-ness. The main character is strong minded, independent and able to hold her own not even needing her guardian in my opinion throughout most of the book which makes her very likable as a person as well as relatable when the author lets her weaknesses peak through every so often. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, a good weekend book.

This was a nice surprise. I bought this eBook because my friend highly recommended it. The characters are very well done and was an easy read. Will tell my friends about it.

This was one of the few eBooks I have ordered for my new Nook, but I really, really enjoyed it. The author is extremely descriptive; thus allowing the reader to paint a wonderful mental image of all characters involved. Would highly recommend. A "must have" in your eBook collection. Sincerely, Maggie

Reading similar books to deal with angel and demons this book was okay. There was supposed to be romance with her Guardian that didn't really have any build up and just kind of happened. The story itself was interesting with her being able to see things before they happen. Wished her Guardian would have been developed more so we could understand and see him more than what was given. Other than that it was a decent book.
