Florida law enforcement still do not know how he circumvented the security system that had weight, motion, and heat sensors in a Johnson & Johnson heiress' home when he stole $1million of her jewelry. MacLean had homes in Vinalhaven Maine and Florida. He had a Cessna airplane, fancy cars, a Scarab speedboat, and a Hughes 300C helicopter - all purchased with stolen money. Jack MacLean was a Mellins Baby Food baby, as was Humphrey Bogart and Ruth Gordon (Harold and Maud).
