Optic Nerve chronologically traces the life of an unknown writer, living in the middle of the desert, as he takes his readers on a trip “Back to the Future.” The writing style is raw, pure and unique. Optic Nerve could easily have been titled “The World According to Buzz Sodeman.” Sodeman utilizes inanimate objects to tell his stories, from growing up in Saginaw, MI through his time spent in Vietnam to his days in Pahrump, NV.
