Overview

This book is a prime example of the Ancient Wisdom manifesting in all cultures and backgrounds pretty much independently. Hawaii's shamans the kahuna were revered and feared, out of respect because of their powers. They meted out justice, healed the sick and kept order and harmony. They understood the old ways, the ancient wisdom very well.
What is this Ancient Wisdom?
The Ancient Wisdom is a body of knowledge of Universal Laws and Cosmic Consciousness of our Source and Cosmology.
While this school of thought is ancient in its history, it is philosophically solid today as it was before time began. It can be found in all cultures and backgrounds as the Buddhist, Sufi, Kabbalah, Kahuna, Essenes and Vedic philosophies. The Rosi-crucian’s, Zoroastrian, and other Yogas all pretty much have this in their core.

Meet the Author

Shortly after graduating from UCLA in 1917, Long moved to the island of Hawaii to teach in elementary schools. When he arrived, he claimed that some Native Hawaiians were practicing what he called magic. Long wrote that at first he was skeptical of this magic, but later became convinced that it worked. He devoted the rest of his life to combining theories about how the Native Hawaiians did what he claimed they did, and teaching those theories through the sale of books and lecture fees.Long decided to call his compilation of teachings Huna, a word he invented. Although Long researched and published articles on Fire-walking, he never firewalked himself. He founded an organization called the Huna Fellowship in 1945 and, starting in 1948, published a series of books on Huna that are still in print.
